Been a few years since we've visited this gem. Big family hike up to the lake, where we snacked for a little bit before heading back down. Frigid cold this time of year -- bring a jacket and a hat!

Went with the family up to this beautiful lake in the Rockies. Lots of nice waterfalls this time of year with all the snowmelt. Once you climb up to the lake there are also several other trails you can follow past it and upward.

The trail itself is at the end of a long road which is for the most part high-clearance only. Lots of water running on the road itself, eroding dirt, exposing rocks, and creating large ruts. Don't drive past the first large parking area you come to unless your vehicle can handle such terrain.
