| no partners | | | Hiked up Pine Shadow trail to Manzano Peak, then down Kayser Trail to FR 422 and walked the road back to the Pine Shadow trailhead. Pine Shadow Trail disappears for about a mile once you hit the crest, so we just walked the crest until we were able to pick up the trail again. Other than that the trails were in good enough shape to follow without trouble. Not too many down trees to climb over. Got caught in a large thunderstorm towards the bottom of Kayser Trail so no more photos after it started hailing. Saw 4 other people the whole day. It's a very beautiful area. |
