The trail then narrows to closely follow the creek and has a lot of twists, turns, slight ups and downs, and plenty of creek crossings to keep things interesting. I saw 5 toads during my creek crossings (or are they frogs?), and one snake. Although the high in Redding was 99 degrees, this trail was very cool and comfortable. Completely shaded, while following the cold creek to provide a perfect temperature. Overall a great little hike with lots of multicolored leaves to see, which I'll add in a photoset. |
