| no partners | | Spent a gorgeous day with a great group of folks. Had a spectacular 360 degree view from the peak which included Catalina and San Clemente Islands to the East; San Gorgonio, Baldy and San Jacinto Mountains to the North and East. Also had just enough snow to make it a White Christmas. Toasted our good fortunes and friendships with a bottle of bubbly; made for a perfect day all around! |

| no partners | | Weather was much better on this trip compared to the earlier one! Encountered a little snow towards the top but nothing like last time... Once at the peak (High Point Lookout Station - Elev 6140'), we had a great view of the surrounding area and Palomar Observatory below us to the West). This will probably be the last snow we see until next Winter.
Edit: I just found these while planning for the Christmas Day Hike... Oops! The irony is there will probably be snow Christmas Day 2011! |

| no partners | | Hit snow at about the 4000' level. Made for a tough slog when it reached a depth of about 18 inches (no snowshoes...). Decided to call it quits about .4 miles from the peak. |
