| no partners | | No parking available on Paseo Miramar so I parked at Los Liones instead. It wasn't all that hot a day, but it felt hot in the sun. Lots of people out hiking. Starting at Los Liones added about 1.5 miles each way to the hike, but it's a pretty trail from Los Liones to Paseo Mirimar so that was ok. From there on the trail is really a fire road and it is wide and smooth. There are some single track trails that run parallel to the dirt road, but they tend to be a lot steeper. I took a couple of these for fun. The trail goes up and up before finally reaching the plateau with the overlook. At the overlook there are a couple of benches to rest on. The overlook has an amazing panoramic view of the Santa Monica bay. It was slightly hazy, but still awesome. |
