On our honeymoon on Santa Cruz Island 😊. Hiked from Scorpion Beach to the campground, then back toward the beach to Cavern Point, then Potato Harbor. Then took Montañon Ridge Loop to High Mount, then down through Scorpion Canyon back to the campground.

Day 2 of our Channel Islands visit was to Santa Cruz Island. This place rocks. Big Time.

after getting our stuff settled in after the boat ride, we hiked out to the Potato Harbor Overlook. after climbing out of the campground this trail takes you along the bluffs of the coast with absolutely sensational views. we picked up a friendly solo hiker along the way and shared many wonderful views with him. the Overlook down onto Potato Harbor is excellent - what an isolated little paradise that is.

after coming back we had a nice picknick in the shade of some huge tree, then suited up and went to the very small little beach. how awesome to spend time on such a wonderful little place. the water was pretty cold, but Sierra and I went swimming anyway. we chilled out on the beach for a bit after that then realized we had time to sneak in one more quick hike so we cruised the Cavern Point Loop before heading back to the boat.

I will absolutely come back here someday. this island is amazing and we barely scratched the surface. lot of opportunity for hiking. One of my new favorite places and favorite days ever :y: :y: :y:
