| partners | | After a quick trip up Lembert, and a visit to the wilderness office to get our permits for Sunday, we decided to check out the other end of Tuolumne Meadows.
The ecologically sensitive alpine meadow is being "restored" and the trail takes you around the end rather than the much shorter route straight across. From there the hike to the top is a simple one. As always, the scenery in Tuolumne is top notch, with the only scar made by the road and line of cars parked along it.
This is the ultimate in hikes for 4-year-old kids and tourists who usually don't venture more than 20-feet from their vehicle. |
