This November the Los Angeles Chapter of the National "Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation" (JDRF) for Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) held their annual 5k (3.2 mile) Walk and Fund Raising Celebration Event at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California.

JDRF & T1D: "JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. We exist for the millions of children, adults and families affected by this disease. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to stop T1D."

In November, 2015, my youngest Grandson was diagnosed with 24/7 monitoring Type 1 Diabetes at 2 years old.

Team T1D Lions: This was my third rewarding year CA visit week to join my youngest Daughter, Son-in-Law, three youngest Grandkids (10,8,5), and family friends for the annual Los Angeles Chapter of the JDRF- Type 1 Diabetes 5k "One Walk" day events.. https://www2.jdrf.org/site/TR/Walk/LosA ... fr_id=7469

Another special visit and day event for us all to help celebrate with ~10k Rose Bowl attendees (many with T1D), the ongoing fund raising efforts and medical advances of this so demanding 24/7 disease with no cure to date.
