| no partners | | I drove up to Santa Rosa Friday afternoon to meet my sister for our trip to Tahoe and needed to kill a couple hours before they got home from work so I decided to check out Annadel State Park. I began my loop from Spring Lake and headed into the park on the Canyon trail and then up the Rough Go trail. From there I made up the loop as I went, connecting the Lake, Marsh, Luis, Burma, Live Oak and Channel trails before returning to the car. It was a little longer than I anticipated, but a beautiful network of trails and a wide variety of terrain from grass prairies to redwood groves. I saw numerous turkeys and deer and two white tail bucks clashing antlers, which was quite a sight to see. Glad I finally had a chance to explore the park. |
