Return to finish off this great peak hike, starting from the Bennie Creek trailhead on the Nebo Scenic Loop. Above treeline the trail steadily climbs grassy ridges to the rocky summit with great views.

On the way back went up and over the top of Loafer Mountain. Also checked out the Grotto Falls trail near the same trailhead - lovely, but overwhelmed by July 4 visitors.

Strong winds kept us from reaching the summit, but this is a nice hike. Starts in mixed forest (with some recovering burn zones from the 2018 Pole Creek / Bald Mountain fire) then heads up above treeline along ridgelines. I'll probably be back some time to finish this one.
