We did this hike with a local Meetup Group. The flowers on the trail were outstanding, in addition you are on the Continental Divide. The views of the snowcapped ranges were another bonus.

I did have a bit of excitement when Joseph panicked hearing the chirps of a Pika. He took off running! The chirp sounds like a smoke detector low battery warning. I had trained the dogs to evacuate the house if the smoke detector sounded. He ran for 1/2 a mile before I got him under control. My GPS track reflects this.

As I am uploading flower pics from today, boy am I disappointed with the quality of my pics. I need a lesson from Letty.
