Christmas Eve hike up the Oak Grove trail, attempting to summit Signal Peak. Snow was patchy on the way up, but once I hit the saddle at 9800ft, my plans abruptly changed. The trail disappeared in the snow and I didn't have the footwear to make it the final 1.5 miles to the peak. Not to mention I was solo and a storm was supposed to roll in the next day. This trail is very steep, 3,500 feet of gain in the first 3.5 miles. You will definitely have your work cut out trying to bag this peak. I loved every bit of it and will definitely be back!
