Another sweet little canyon in the Lee's Ferry area! After hiking down the sandy wash a bit, you hit the only major drop in the canyon which consists of a initial 40-50ft drop that can be bypassed on the right, followed by a sweet 85ft dryfall which requires this canyons only rappel. After that its just boulder hopping and more sandy wash until you hit the Colorado River. When you're done enjoying the river, you can either loop via another side canyon or turn around and acend back up your fixed rope. That 85-footer is my highest rope ascension to date.  |
