| no partners | | Despite being short of time, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hike a portion - even if small - of the Pacific Crest Trail. This is quite the contrast to my friend who is currently hiking the entire PCT. He is currently on day 80 around South Lake Tahoe area. He won't be to this part of the trail for another couple of months, but we can at least share this small little section. Anyway, the trail as you can imagine is veery well marked and easy to follow. This particular section was almost flat and was very easy going. I turned around when I came to the snow line. Being from sunny AZ, I am not really sure what to do with the white stuff, so just played it safe since I really had no cold weather gear and turned around. Still, a very enjoyable hike and scenery is just incredible. I know I will make a point in the very near future to head back to thru hike a longer section of the trail. Enjoy! |

| | There is water everywhere along the trail from the snow melt. Lots of just little waterfalls and stream heading down the mountain. Pretty cool. | | _____________________
