Headed up alone on this one which is always nice. Lots of overcast so the views seemed to be a tad limited. Such a wonderful trail!

Last time I was up here there were too many clouds for views, but today was totally clear. Cool and breezy conditions made for a great time. The views were phenomenal, especially the La Plata Mountains. I was able to take the last couple pictures left in my camera before the battery died for good.

This remains in my top two trails in the park, along with Spruce Canyon.

Up to the top of the prominent mesa that looks over the entrance of the park. Great views in every direction. The drop-off was awesome as well. Walked around for a bit while some clouds made their way in. Saw some really small amounts of vapor glide across the ground. The skies were darkening fast so I checked out the benchmark and rushed to the car. Sunny without so much as a sprinkle by the time I made it down. ](*,)
