Spent the day exploring a couple legit 'mud caves' which are actually old canyons that got covered up by land slides and then another flash flood came thru and hollow out the canyon again. They were pretty cool with highly variable ceilings, occasional holes in the roof, and then they end abruptly... Walking the ridges proved to be the quickest way to get around but be VERY careful of walking across the canyons because they most likely had caves and pockets underneath them. I then explore the Big Mud Cave which was really an old 'cave' that has since mostly caved in... Afterwards I explored a couple slot canyos before calling it a day and making the long drive home. |
