| no partners | | This is the first of three hikes I have planned in the Queen Valley area. I did a circumference hike around Comet Peak utilizing ATV trails, forest roads and the railroad tracks. Whitlow Dam Basin is all burnt up. There's nothing but charred cottonwoods and salt cedar. No wildlife to be seen there. I did find a pair of tortoise shells on the railroad tracks. There's no trains so I don't know what would've killed them other than inability to climb back over the rails. |
