I have been exploring this area of the Lone Peak Wilderness as of late... Its just so crazy that most of these areas are like 15-20mis away from my house and there is not alot of people on the trails.

You start at the trailhead in Alpine, UT 5700ft el (Deer Creek - Dry Creek #043) The first couple miles you follow a creek below and all pines everywhere. Started to get a little icy/slushy so I was using Microspikes to cruise along with no issues. About two miles up around 7200ft I get to the first junction.. left to the seasonal waterfall which was roaring and right where the adventure begins.

Follow #043 & #042 (North Moutnain Trail #042) I threw on my snowshoes here since the trail hasnt been used much, plus there was about three feet of snow. A couple hundred vertical feet up another junctioin #042 goes left and #043 straight. It was difficult at times to follow the trail but was able to figure it out in a sea of white. The switchbacks became clear and so did the trial.

Around 8300ft is the third junction left #043 and right Box Elder Trail #044 this will take you to the summit 11,100ft. Due to time restraints this was a good place to call it a day eat lunch, head back. Basically scoping it out for next weekend and I could not believe there really hasnt been anyone up here for quite sometime.

Epic hike and will be back soon!
