Trail was both muddier and icier than the previous month. Kinda nuts that you could have it get worse in both directions somehow. Beautiful as always though, with icy rimes on all the railings and trees near the falls.

Fun, easy hike off the side of the highway. Extra .5 mile consists of goofing around in the creek and surrounding areas.

Great little hike...short and sweet...and at an elevation that will take your breath away.

We stopped at an overlook on 160 further east on the pass. We asked a local to take our picture and he told us about this about this sweet little stop further down on the way to Pagosa.

I was surprised there wasn't a description on HAZ already for this. I highly recommend the stop if you are in this area. Definitely worth the effort.
