I spent the weekend with family in Rochester, MN. Saturday we hiked the city trails, this one runs from Mayowood (one of the Mayo Brother's mansion on the edge of town) to the city center. It's a paved, multi-use route along the Zumbro River, thru the woods and parks. It's a very nice trail, well-kept and clean. I had only a pair of Merrill's, and suffered serious footware failure. Wound up with shin splints and blisters, something that never happens in boots on the trail. But is was a great time with family, and the feet will heal.
