Super fun ride. The trail has been made more user friendly over the years, you still need to stay focused (not easy to do with all the amazing views) but there were no "do or die" moments. My first time on a Class 1 e-bike borrowed from my riding partner, impressive technology for sure. I'm still committed to leg power only, but it sure is nice to know that I will have the option to continue mtn biking well into my sunset years :D

Decided to take the Orange and Green (our mtn bikes) out along the Flume Trail while we were in the area.
Damn inclines murdered me but I'll blame the extreme exhaustion from driving from Phx AZ to Tahoe NV in 12 hours and only sleeping 3 hours in the car... :D

Up up and away, i swear i almost died, the views were beautiful, the weather was perfect, i would suggest this ride or hike to ANYONE and everyone, only wish I could've gone farther just soo tired!

Vince and I did stumbled across a baby bear cub though!!! A mere 10 maybe 15 feet ahead of us on the trail, i slid to a halt with vince right behind me having no idea whhy i stopped and I managed to stammer out "B-b-bear" :sl:

The little cub stared at us all sorts of curious and ambled along on his way...where was Mama?! We slipped past the cub and rode on.
Lovely area, can't wait to go back and try again!

Great cool day, light sprinkles to keep the dust down and packed, few others around.

Did this as a mountain bike trip. All my preparation for this trail paid off. Being capable made for an enjoyable day. I saw several others in way over their head and miserable. Thats trouble on a challenge like this. Its an adreneline rush from beginning to end. A tough climb followed by life on the edge and then a semi out of control plunge while surrounded by beautiful scenery.
