| no partners | | Hercules Glade is a wilderness area in the Mark Twain National Forest, near Branson Missouri. My dad, brother, and I started out at the westernmost trailhead. I'm not sure if the trails have actual names. Headed South/East toward Coy Bald to some scenic overlooks, then the trail bent around, following the ridge, and heads back North. This section had some nice scenery.
The trail then descended into Long Creek. Long Creek turned out to be a cool surprise; the guidebook we had didn't really make a deal about it. We were greeted by a cool rock waterfall area to wade around in, which stretched a good few hundred feet. Ate lunch, played around for an hour, and continued back to the trailhead.
Really cool area, especially with all of the water. |
