Probably saw 20 or so folks out there on a Saturday so nothing super busy, but still well travelled.

This hike was a lot of fun but the first 2 miles were all up hill. It levels out once you get over the saddle and into the valley of mountains. There was a lot of snow patches still on the mountains. We saw a lot of Marmots hanging out. The lake still had ice on it and wild flowers lined the trail and the little creek from the snow melt.

There was still a lot of snow on this trail. It was very slow going. This years late spring hindered our hike to the lake. We decided to turn around about 1/2 mile from the lake. It started to rain, and there was a lot of snow to travel through. We where not properly equipped for all the snow. The puppy did awesome on the trail. Chasing the marmot chirps from start to finish.
