| no partners | | After riding 20 miles on my bike, I then went for a walk on the Urban Trail with my daughter and grandson, who will be 2 in a couple weeks. By the time I got home, I was whacked, and went to bed at 7, and slept for almost 10 hours.
This section of Urban Trail has recently been extended. It crosses Rt. 66 and continues west a short distance, but we did not cross because of traffic. My daughter remarked that she hopes they will devise a safer crossing for pedestrians.
The old stone masonry ranch buildings next to Rt. 66 and the trail are still there, and I hope they will be preserved in some way. There is no indication on any of the available HAZ maps what is the name of that old ranch.
I should have taken photos of the burned area of the Railroad Fire, which was several acres last week, and had everyone in Railroad Springs packing up their valuables. My daughter and her husband spent two hours packing both vehicles, as the area remained on the "Set" status. Thankfully the fire was put out. |
