| no partners | | With a 3 day weekend due to the holiday we wanted to get away for a bit. The 3rd quarter started off rough for both of us as we had parent teacher conferences literally the first day back from winter break.
We both decided that a day trip to Sedona was in order. We received a free day pass for a state park the day we got engaged at the Grand Canyon and decided to finally use it. The trails are obviously very well maintained and the park itself has some pretty decent views of the surrounding areas. It would be a spectacular area to visit in the fall to absorb the fall colors. The ground was littered with the remains of the fall foliage and definitely had an upstate NY feel to it.
The plan was to take the Eagles Nest trail up to the vista but we just meandered through the several trails on our way. Some parts of the trails were muddy and we did our best not to end up on our backsides. Overall, it was a fun excursion. We had burgers at a place downtown afterwards and enjoyed the views. |
