Now that I know the area, this run was much smoother. Getting out there early is crucial on the weekends, and with a little time to spare before my 9:00am start, I dropped a Gatorade at the turnaround and snapped a few pictures of Pillar Point and some surfing action.

I didn't know what to expect in regards to the trail or the weather along the coast this morning, all I knew is that I wanted to do a long run near the ocean. The half moon bay coast trail does offer really nice views when the visibility is good, but there's quite a bit of pavement going North from the State Park. If you travel South, the area is less populated and the paths turn to dirt trails.

Depending on what you'd like to see and do, there are plenty of options.
