A while back I noticed a small wooden building at the edge of the highway and wondered what it might be. Then after some Google map research I realized there were several paths through an open space and looked into it further. It was the Hayward Shoreline Interpretive Center with numerous trails in the middle of a huge marsh. I had to check it out. This morning I made a quick drive over the SM bridge to discover a really nice place to run. The trail surfaces were soft, had several twists and turns to keep it interesting, plenty of wildlife activity to observe and the views of the peninsula and San Francisco were quite nice. It was kind of fun running over the wooden bridges above the waterways too.
