| no partners | | Very nice vacation and a very satisfying hike. I had already done Mill Creek Falls to Crumbaugh Lake and Lassen Peak the previous 2 days so the dogs were barking a little earlier than usual on this hike, but no problem. The dichotomy between burned and unburned areas was interesting. I'd definitely recommend doing this hike clockwise so the hike has 2 short uphill stretches and 1 long, gentle downhill stretch.
I stayed at Summit Lake North campground for 3 nights, and it was just okay. It's nice to have modern bathrooms, but the sites are way too close together. It would be a lot better if it had 30 spots instead of 46 in the same space. Just deal with it. Swimming in a lake after hikes is something that seems to have bitten me. Next up is Redwood National Park. |
