This was my introduction to the great old growth redwood forests along the coast of far northern California. The old growth forest along Bull Creek which bisects the northern half of the park is about 8 miles long and a few hundred yards wide contains about a thousand giants according to an interpretive sign I saw. Pretty cool area, and an easy hike. I did this in the middle of the day, and it was a little warm even in the dark of the forest.
