First Canyon of the Rendezvous, even though the Rendezvous hadn't "Officially" started yet...A lot of People signed on for this one, both Experienced and not so Experienced Canyoneers. I think People used it as a Warm-Up/Get Acquainted with Ouray Canyon. There were 15 People I believe...

One of the Crew had a Campsite at Angel Creek, so we were able to Drive in using a few High Clearance Vehicles. The Road would have been a little Dicey for the Escape though. The Approach was a Short Uphill before we Dropped in. 4 Rappels with a Beautiful Slick Rock Spot in the Middle...I wouldn't see Rock with Colors like that anywhere else that I went during the Rendezvous...The Water was Flowing a bit, but not a lot and you could easily stay out of the Creek in quite a few Places without much Effort. Everyone kept reiterating how Cold the Water was in Ouray Canyons and advised a Wetsuit, but as it turned out, even getting a little Wet on a couple of the Rappels, the Water Temp was Nice and we had lots of Sun...I could have done without a Wetsuit all together.... ;)

Even with that many People we did the Canyon in 2 1/2 Hours Car to Car....Some Uphill on the Exit and we were done and headed to the Next Canyon for the Day....

Beautiful little Creek and a nice Start to the Ouray Trip.... :D
