| no partners | | It was supposed to rain today, but it was sunny when I woke up. So I went hiking. There were lots of clouds to the north over the Los Padres NF, but not as many in Thousand Oaks. I hiked pretty far. The weather was cool and windy, so it felt great to be out today.
There are still lots of wildflowers out. However, if we don't get some meaningful rain soon, the hills will dry out quickly once the vernal equinox hits. So I have a few weeks left to enjoy the wildflowers. |

Wildflowers Observation Substantial Photoset shows lots of wildflowers. I got a pleasant surprise toward the end of my hike when I spotted some Padre's Shooting Star. I didn't think there was any left, but this was a new bloom. The Bush monkeyflower is just starting to coming and wasn't worth photographing, yet. |
