| no partners | | In 2013, I tried hiking the Tahoma Creek trail to Emerald Ridge loop but I lost the Tahoma Creek trail shortly after it ventured out into the rocky creek section. After seeing a report that a park volunteer recently marked the trail, we headed out for the suspension bridge. The markings are great! Easy to follow so we had no problems following the trail. Saw some goats up on the mountains to the left just after passing the creek with the footbridge closet to where you park. Saw them again in a slightly different location on the way out. Blue skies made for a picture perfect day. I'm not one for heights but I did make it across the bridge -- you have to cross to get the good view of the mountain. The wind and creaking foot boards didn't make it easy but I took it slow. Hated to go all that way and not cross it. Plus my wife went across like it was nothing so I had to man-up! |
