Second day of teaching local students about how to navigate and survive the outdoors. Today we worked on ways to filter/purify water, where water sources can be found in the desert, how to light a fire using a bunch of different methods, and how to build a basic survival structure if one gets trapped out unprepared.

Spent Saturday teaching local kids how to use a map and compass to navigate. It was our first time running this program, so there's some stuff I would definitely do differently if we run this course again. I added an extra mile because I made several trips up and down the Skinner Cabin trail that I forgot to reactivate the tracking for, in the course of responding to students. No flowers out yet.
