I've never been out on this lake except when frozen, so it was nice to put paddle to water. I didn't realize quite how long the lake is ... you could easily knock out 10 miles doing an out n back. There are no motor restrictions here, so a handful of boats were out dragging crotchfruits at high speed at the end of a long rope. It looked sort of fun.

The west end is deeper so the motors didn't venture through the narrows to the east end. A handful of kayakers and sitdown paddleboarders were also out enjoying the day. As is customary, we had a good headwind while heading east, which then reversed to also be a headwind heading back west. Some outflows from surrounding storms kicked up the surf and made it a little spicy just as we were finishing up.
