This canyon is a lot of fun, if you love scrambling. Very interesting granite rock formations. There's a bit of route-finding, as you have to sometimes backtrack when you walk up into a boxed-in area, and then find a route up the side of the hill, or up through the giant boulder fields. We enjoyed ourselves. It was a one-Band-Aid hike. I got scratched pretty well on my hand, then put gloves on. Bring gloves! Leave your hiking poles at home. They'll just get in the way. I ditched mine early on, and then of course had to find them again. We hiked up to some springs, unnamed on map.

We saw a couple small pools of standing water, and a little seepage. According to the map, we didn't make it all the way to Willow Spring, but there is water below that as well. It has been a very dry season, but thankfully the animals still can get some water here.

Again I lucked out with cool weather as this would be an oven with average temps. No shade is offered. Great canyon with character.
