Most of the fall color has passed and the ground is covered in a patchwork of orange and yellow leaves. Took my time following the trail- had no real destination or objective, so I just took it slow. Turned back where the trail crosses the creek (which after all the heavy rains was flowing very heavy). Lots of mushrooms and fungi along the way, even found enough late-season Chantrelles for several meals, just in time for Thanksgiving. |
