The trail provides breathtaking views the entire way, you can take a scenic ski lift up to the trail head, and you can even stop at a delicious alpine restaurant after you finish hiking! I recommend starting at Igls, taking the lift up to the trailhead, and hiking Eastbound because the lifts back down on the East end of the trail are traditional open-seated ski lifts for 1 or 2 people that provide amazing views as you relax on your ride down the rugged mountain. This particular trip started in the clouds and mysterious fog, and opened up to clear views of Innsbruck and the mountains across the way as we reached farther along the trail. |
