| no partners | | This was our first time climbing at Granite Dells. We climbed some routes near the stairway in an area called Shady Grove. Although, shady is a bit of a misnomer.
Overall, it was pretty solid crag and we enjoyed a long morning there. We climbed seven routes and generally enjoyed them all. In particular, there was a mixed 5.9 line and a challenging .10a we liked, along with a couple of the easier routes that had some fun movements and a little excitement. The hike into the crag was short and scenic and the crag was situated above a pond and roaring dam, which made the top out views and setting nice. A really cool area for hiking or climbing it appears, we will be back for sure. |
