| no partners | | There are a lot of social trails leading in from the neighborhoods next to the park, finally did a loop without getting turned around on one and without having to stop for 30-45 seconds to get my bearings. Got hot fast and my mile splits got progressively slower to compensate.
Took the Maeveen Behan from the main trailhead over to the XC Trail, then took the Crooked Trail to the edge of the park, exited onto a wash with a berm on it. Ran along the berm for about a third of a mile to connect to the Oasis Trail, over to Hardy Wash and then finally connected back to the Behan Trail. This park has a lot of half mile long trails, so easy to knock out 5+ trails in one run or hike.
Not much in the way of wildflowers. But a first for me, caught a coyote napping under a tree. He looked very well fed, I'm guessing he's the reason for all the posts on NextDoor about missing cats in my neighborhood. |
