Morning hike with my daughter, Joseph, Buddy and Grizzly. The whole Vail Valley is choking with smoke since around the begging of July. I have dramatically cut back on my daily hiking due to the amounts of ash (my car was covered in it this morning) and smoke in the air. I feel it, and the dogs do too. Their eyes are really seeping discharges even when they don't hike.

I am happy to hear Arizona is getting rain, however the rest of the West badly needs rain too.
