| no partners | | | Decided to check out VOF. When to the Silica Dome overlook, and there was a sign saying they had a group hike to the top of Silica Dome ("advanced, 2 hours"), so I decided I may as well check out the view from the top. Less than a half mile to the top, and it was easy scrambling (class 2 at most). The view from the top is pretty outstanding for something that can easily be done in under 30 minutes, and there aren't any crowds in this area. |
