| no partners | | Enjoyable Sunday hike. The trailheads in Auburn State Rec Area closest to the town of Auburn were packed (pretty typical). But we were the only trail at the trailhead for this one and didn't see another soul for the rest of the hike. Decent views down into the Middle Fork of the American River and the Ruck a Chucky Rapids. The spot were the trail ends at Canyon Creek has a nice pool which looks idyllic for swimming. The Auburn SRA is probably going to become a go-to for day hikes for me. |
