Oh the humidity! A walk around the park this morning was a warm affair. Was treated to some balloon sightings and a neat looking eastern sky. As usual I wound up taking a lot of pictures.

I have been more of a photographer than a hiker lately and that's not a bad thing. I needed to get out and stretch my legs a little so it was a drive up the freeway to Anthem for a walk in the park.

A quick trip to Anthem this morning resulted in my first ever sighting of a Western Grebe. The other usual suspects were present on a beautiful if tad warm Fall morning.

I always enjoy a visit to this park. Already a busy spot in the six o'clock hour this morning. It was nice going at first but as it warmed up the humidity began to be felt.

Yesterday morning I drove up to Anthem Community Park to check out the Veterans Memorial and the local inhabitants. Nice park to spend the morning at.
