Water, water every and all the boards did shrink.... well, you know the rest. We took some time off to get away from the triple digit Arizona temps and spend some time with family and friends in Minnesota & Wisconsin, but we've been inundated with rain a couple of times a week. When the sun's out, it's serious beautiful weather and, given the presence of the Minnesota state bird (Mosquitoe), it's been a treat to get out and enjoy the out-of-doors again.

This morning I ventured out to the local Lebanon Hills Regional Park for a walk around the lakes. Everything is so green here from all the rain that a whole squad of lawnmowers were running up and down the main trails to keep them free of the encroaching weeds. The small lakes are thick with Lily Pads and weeds but there was two guys in a canoe beating the water to a froth in search of Panfish or Bass hiding below.

I started my walk early while the temps were still in the mid 60's, dew points in the 80's and the bugs were still in hiding but it was a cloudless sky and the sun would soon be warming the woods and bringing em out. I was surprised by how few other hikers were out, but as I was finishing my walk, the parking lot was filling up.

Yeah it's nice to experience the low temps again but, I surely miss Arizona.

Wildflowers Observation Substantial
All types of colorful wildflowers are blooming everywhere, it's like a late season "superbloom" all over again.
