our last hike of the trip
packed up early and left dead horse point before the forecast high winds picked up
by the time we got to hunter canyon around 0900, it was very windy
we were somewhat sheltered from most of it
passed the blm campground and continued down the canyon
sand, dirt and bedrock surface, trail crossing kane creek several times
saw a couple of poison ivy patches but easily avoided
three areas with nice pools of water, one near the end of the trail
we went a little further, then decided to turn back when it got overgrown
high canyon walls, cool geology, and flowing water made for a nice experience
saw maybe a dozen others along the way
