Started off at the golf course maintenance lot, walked through the woods to the park entrance, along the bike path, past the golf course, down to the marina, along the beach boardwalk, past the River Lea Historic Building, then through the woods to the starting point. We saw a crane (bird) on the river. Life guards were working at the beach, and there were a few people on the beach throwing balls, but nobody in the water. Way too cold to be the water today, in my opinion, but I assume the workers just have a fixed schedule regardless of weather. High temp was 66 today which is cooler than normal for this time of year. There was rain in the morning, but it cleared out in the afternoon. Saw some lily pads in the water near the starting point. |
