I did this hike with my niece Cianna and she gave me a good workout! We arrived at Whirlpool state park, walked to the stairs and down. Then we went to the rock overhang that is a great photo area for viewing the rapids. After taking a short break there, we walked South to the end of the trail. Looks like the trail needs a bit of maintenance up ahead. We turned around and took the Whirlpool trail all the way to the bottom of the Devil's hole steps going up. Then, we took the steps up to Devil's hole state park and followed the upper rim trail back to Whirlpool state park.

Started near the Whirlpool bridge. Hiked down the stairs to the bottom level, turned right, went under the bridge and to the trail's end. Then turned around and walked up the Great Railway trail to the top level. My Dad joined me on the first part of the hike. For the second leg, I hiked down past the Aquarium to the American falls, across the bridges to Goat Island and down to Terrapin point to view the Horseshoe Falls, then back across the bridge to the main road to end my one way hike. The falls were busy with a lot of tourists from all over the World it seemed.

Hiked the Whirlpool loop with Ed, starting off at Whirlpool State park and walking the path to Devil's Hole state park, headed down the staired trail to the lower trail section and hiked all the way to the rock overlook and back up the Whirlpool staired trail. This time we didn't go to the end of the trail because of time constraints.
