I love getting up to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The portion of the range that's north of I-80 isn't as high as it is down south, but that doesn't mean it isn't any less beautiful. It was a warm day up in the Lakes Basin area, and I was glad to have a lake to jump into.

Round Lake is not very round. With so many lakes they must have been short on names. If you have to choose only one hike in this area this is the one to do.
