| no partners | | | Hiked up here to place a geocache at the summit. Drove in via Forest Road 58 and parked near Little Spring. Headed up, following the various game trails and continued up in a switchback type of way before eventually reaching the summit. Found the summit log which happened to be a metal ammo can. Placed my geocache (plastic ammo can) under the same rocks the summit log was hiding. Found all of the GRAY benchmarks, one station mark and two reference marks. Also found what seemed to be the ruins of a height of light. Headed down and stopped by Little Spring to check it out, though I didn't see any water in the spring box. Also found a swing set and about 50 Copenhagen lids nailed to a nearby tree. |
