It was nice being in the sun; Main Wall seemed very shady, and with the wind that hit once in a while, the sunny Finktion Wall was perfect.
Day One, we all took turns climbing the four climbs I have listed. Day Two, Ryan and I rapped down to Winter Wall to try out a trad route. We ended up climbing something that we had no beta on, but looked good enough. I followed him up, having a rough moment with a piece under a roof. Think: piece on the left directly under roof, with rope 180 degrees from there.. I didn't want to swing out, so somehow managed to scrunch myself under it, using my feet, head and shoulders as tension, while using two hands to remove a cam that had lodged itself inside the crack! At the top I felt relieved, with a sense of accomplishment! I may now be addicted to crack. Definitely visiting the area again this season. |
